Anselmo-Merna School Celebrates Student Growth with Early Dismissal on December 20th

Dear Patrons of A-M,

We are excited to share news about the progress our students have made on the MAP (Measured Academic Progress) assessment! MAP is a norm-referenced tool that helps us understand where our students are in their learning progression, providing insights into their growth relative to Nebraska standards. For more information on MAP, visit this link.

Celebrating Success

Thanks to the hard work of our dedicated educators and students, we’ve seen improved outcomes from fall to winter. Winter MAP testing concluded on 12/13. We challenged our students and staff to growth and they responded!

  • 7th-11th Grade:

    • Reading improved from the 54th percentile to the 58th percentile.

    • Math improved from the 68th percentile to the 71st percentile.

  • 2nd-6th Grade:

    • Reading improved from the 52nd percentile to the 60th percentile.

    • Math improved from the 43rd percentile to the 53rd percentile.

These results demonstrate the commitment of our students, staff, and families to academic excellence and continuous improvement. To celebrate, we are excited to announce an early dismissal at 1:00 PM on Friday, December 20th for K-12 students (no afternoon Junior Kindergarten). We are also grilling some locally raised beef for lunch and sending them home with ice cream cones!

These outcomes reflect not just hard work done in our classrooms but the collective effort of our school community.

Thank you for supporting Anselmo-Merna School and supporting student success!

Go Coyotes!
